the "final" version of my Lirael drawing " A character from Garth Nix's book series.

Well, it's lirael on the river of the dead, and well, I was going to draw Dog, but didn't feel up to it. Mogget kicks more butt anyway.

I like the effect I gave it with filters, even if it does look kinda cheap.

I like this one better, it's got a great feel to it. Moody. It has ambiance, that's what I'm thinking of.

Ooooooooh, nice use of the filter!

Filters tend to be cheapened if overused. But when they're used appropriately and for the right purpose, they do what they did for this image-- give a real sense of mood and atmosphere.

It almost looks like it was done with watercolor now. (and if that's the filter you used, I am going to sound like an idiot....)
